I had a neighborhood bar, but needed a little "zip." Therefore we ventured into the steak business... Our first night we barbecued 27 steaks on a household barbecue pit in the parking lot and sold them for $5.00 (our cost). Since that night the restaurant has more than doubled in size and become far more popular than I had ever imagined. At first our only items were seafood gumbo, stuffed artichoke, and our signature eight and a half ounce filet mignon from Chicago served with "crazy" potatoes. After a few years, I realized that we had a great concept, but, to stay mainstream we need a few additional menu items. With our same concept, quality and value, we added prime rib au jus, fresh grilled tuna, giant dippin' shrimp, and shrimp and crawfish Etouffee. We also have daily specials, and our full menu is available form 11:00am till close. At Crazy Johnnie's you can always count on the quality and value, but in addition you will have fun. In fact, we just received in 1999 our second Zagat National Restaurant Award, one of "America's Best Meal Deals," so you really must come see us for excellent food and a good time!! |
